Acadiana Pools is committed to making acadianapools.com accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as a requirement of the site, not an enhancement to it.
That includes the parts that sell pools: the pool builder, every model page, and the form on our contact page all have to work with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and at whatever text size you need.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. acadianapools.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard.
How we test
Every page of this site is checked automatically on each build against WCAG 2.2 level AA using axe-core and HTML_CodeSniffer, and against a Lighthouse accessibility budget; a failure stops the release. Automated testing cannot see everything, so we also review keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader output by hand.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:
- The pool builder is an interactive application embedded in this site. We maintain it ourselves and review its keyboard and screen-reader behaviour with each release, but it is the most complex thing here and the most likely place for a barrier to appear. Please tell us if you meet one.
- Pool model pages show only the images we can describe accurately. Some pictures in our catalog do not yet have written descriptions, so we leave them off these pages rather than publish them undescribed.
- Video tours of our gunite projects are hosted on YouTube and play there. Captions on those videos are outside our control.
